A La Russe

Last week Russian designer Anastasia Romantsova presented her  A LA RUSSE collection in Moscow. Among her supporters were  Miroslava Duma, designer-stylist Marina Dolidze, Snejana Georgieva and many others. But it was Romantsova that stole the show with her simple yet elegant and romantic Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

Elie Saab undertakes the Luxembourg Royal Wedding

I couldn’t resist but to blog when I saw pictures from the royal wedding of Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy of Belgium this past weekend. It was also an important weekend for Lebanese designer Elie Saab, since he not only dressed the bride, but many of the royal wedding party.

Countess Stephanie de Lannoy first wore an Elie Saab gown at the Gala Dinner following her civil ceremony on Friday.

Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece opted for a breathtaking Elie Saab antique gold embroidered tulle gown with a matching gold metal belt.

Mother of the groom, Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, also wore an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown.

For the religious ceremony at Our Lady of Luxembourg Cathedral, the bride wore an haute couture creation in ivory lace embroidered with silver thread leaves, three-quarter length sleeves and a more than 12-foot-long train.

For the church ceremony, Princess Clotilde chose a light grey peplum Elie Saab cocktail dress and matching leather heels.

Royalty from around the world attended the two-day wedding. Guests included King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway, their son, Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Caroline of Monaco, Prince Frederick and Princess Mary of Denmark and Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain.

The man of the show, Elie Saab and his family were among the guests.

This royal wedding proved once again, that you can not go wrong with Elie Saab.
